This poem is a little love letter to the month of May. I find it absolutely magical that everything suddenly wants to open and be opened.
I wrote it while thinking about how absurd it is that dandelions are considered weeds instead of flowers— mine light up the yard, and I adore them. Not to mention all the bees hopping from bloom to bloom. Of course, it helps that I have a toddler who notices everything and insists we stop to admire it all.
It stirs up such a restless feeling— like something in the air is daring us to bloom, too. Windows open, faces to the sky... this is a poem about letting the light in, and letting ourselves stretch toward it.

Beautiful! I love “trace the sky’s blue seam”. Gorgeous work. I have dandelion every day in spring as tincture, the leaves in salad or dandelion coffee. It truly represents spring to me!
You so perfectly captured the expansive feeling of open windows and dandelions and spring!🌼 Beautiful work, as always 💙
